Valentines

I had the great fortune of meeting my one true love at an early age. We've really grown up together. High school, college, professional school, first apartment, house, dog, family. This is our 10th Valentine's Day as a couple.
One of our first pictures together. I'm sixteen, Mark is 18. Wow. We're just babies! Can't think of anyone better to share my study hall with.

Happy Graduation from HIGH SCHOOL, Mark! If only you knew then where all of your hard work would take you. It was all worth it, J.D.! Can't think of anyone better to share all those years of school with.

Cheers! We're engaged! Can't think of anyone better to drink German beer, from a German Stein, in a German brewhouse in Germany with.

We've studied together, traveled the world, moved around like gypsies, and are now in the throws of family life. I couldn't ask for a better partner for the journey.

Love this post, love you guys! I'm so glad we've been friends for the whole journey, including your first date, to which the sound track would include Chicago, The Mighty Mighty Bostones and the musical stylings of Aladin and Jasmine, featuring Justin. ;-)

We go WAY back to the very beginning. Who knew then that we'd be here now as "grown ups." I still chuckle to think that our first dance as a married couple was "A Whole New World." Pretty dorky, but really, could it really have been any other song? My only regret is that we didn't ask Justin to sing it ;-) .

Did I take that first picture? I have one exactly like it in one of my OLD albums in a box collecting dust somewhere in this house. :) I've always loved that photo of you guys! *sigh* What a great couple! Happy Valentine's Day!

Oh my goodness, I think you DID that picture! I hadn't even thought of that! Mark and I were SUPER newly dating (the date says Feb 2, 2001), and I'm pretty sure it was taken during a School Spirit Week day (I think Mark is wearing pajamas?) Thanks for taking it :-) , it's fun to look back on. I had to scan all of these pictures in...makes me feel old!
